Linda Pogo

Hello. I’m Linda Pogo. I am a long time resident of the Columbia, Missouri community, and a Licensed Professional Counselor, who has a master’s degree in Educational and Counseling Psychology. My career as a therapist started in 1995. For six years, I assisted veterans at a Veteran’s Administration (VA) hospital as an addiction’s counselor, inpatient psychiatric counselor, and an outpatient mental health therapist. During that time, I pursued extensive training in a variety of therapy techniques. My areas of study included the facilitation of grief, stress reduction, trauma recovery, and the psychology of health for the mind, body, and spirit. In 2000, I chose to start a private practice to share my skills with a more diverse clientele. In 2002, I was invited to be a member of Boone Hospital’s Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Program’s clinical team.  I accepted this position based on my awareness of how highly regarded this intensive outpatient program was among my professional peers, and the proven track record of success it had in our community. Through this experience, I have been blessed with opportunities to work with a wonderfully diverse clientele, share with colleagues who are highly respected in the professional community, and offer my contributions to increase the effectiveness of this intensive, skills-based therapy program.

Today, I divide my time between a successful private practice and the CBT program at Boone Hospital. I continue to pursue extensive training in various professional and personal-growth modalities that support my mission to help people heal from the past, accept what is, and live life with intention.
